I have lost the password to log into CompleteFTP.  I cannot find any resources on this page to reset it.  My license number is. Can someone please direct me or contact me so I can get back into the CompleteFTP page for setup?

Please see here on how to reset the admin password

This is not working.  The return message is "The system cannot find the path specified".

Have you:

1) opened a command prompt and made sure it has administrator privileges?
2) ensured that you only use the correct command for your version of CompleteFTP
3) Did you stop the Complete FTP Server service before executing the command?

Alternatively please use the below steps:

1) Close CompleteFTP Manager if it's running
2) Stop the CompleteFTP Service in the Windows services console
3) Open a console window with administrator privileges (Run as Administrator)
4) Enter the command: cd “C:\Program Files\Complete FTP\Server” (or for versions prior to 22.0.0, cd “C:\Program Files (x86)\Complete FTP\Server”)
5) Enter the command: cftpconfig /p NEWPASSWORD where NEWPASSWORD is the new admin password
6) Restart the CompleteFTP Service
7) Start CompleteFTP Manager and connect using the new password

That path does not exist.  The existing path is cd “C:\Program Files\Complete FTP\CompleteAgent.  There are 2 subfolders under CompleteAgent named Net and standard.

CompleteAgent has nothing to do with this. This is something different. If you actually have CompleteFTP installed and have not deleted the directory, then it will be under:
“C:\Program Files\Complete FTP\Server” or for versions earlier than version 22.0.0. it will be “C:\Program Files (x86)\Complete FTP\Server”

For any further assistance with this you will need to open a ticket at our support portal.
