FTP Proxy with Microsoft ISA

by gbw » Mon Apr 26, 2010 8:05 pm

Hello,

we are getting following error while using Microsoft ISA Server as a Proxy:

Caused by: java.io.IOException: Proxy tunnel setup failed: HTTP/1.1 502
Proxy Error ( The specified Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) port is not
allowed. ISA Server is not configured to allow SSL requests from this
port. Most Web browsers use port 443 for SSL requests. )

com.enterprisedt.util.proxy.StreamSocketFactory.getConnectedSocket(Unknown
Source)
at com.enterprisedt.net.ftp.pro.ProFTPClient.connect(Unknown Source)
... 12 more

I am wondering about this SSL stuff. As I understand, the client connects to the proxy using only plain connection. I do not configure it to use SSL. (I dont know how anyway)

So what could be the problem here. Is it possible to use MS ISA Server as a HTTP Proxy?

Best to enable logging at the ALL level and email the zipped log file to support at enterprisedt dot com.
