Use with Air

by Mobinet » Fri May 24, 2013 6:20 pm

Is it possible to use with AIR?

I need to upload some HTML files and a folder containing images from within an AIR app. The AIR app will be running on both Windows and MAC systems.

The upload needs to occur without user intervention, but I need to detect any upload errors, so that I can inform the user.

Hope that you can tell me that your FTP library will do this.

Thanks.

The only scenario that I can see in which it might work is if the AIR application is embedded within a web-page, and that web-page is rendered on a browser that supports Java applets. Since I don't know much about AIR, I don't actually know if that makes any sense - can an AIR application be embedded in a web-page?

Thanks for your prompt response, and the additional info.

I've just done some checking, and it appears that I can't use Java Applets with AIR, so it looks like this is a no go for me.

Thanks anyway.
